Recovering Critical Thinking Not as Confrontation — But as Completeness of Movement

Recovering Critical Thinking Not as Confrontation — But as Completeness of Movement

In this video, we delve into the topic of critical thinking from within, in Jiwasa Mode: a "we" that doesn't exclude, humiliate, or demand dogma for belonging. A belonging that regulates, welcomes, and strengthens — without hijacking our ability to perceive, update, and reorganize what doesn't make sense.

The proposal is simple and profound: the loss of critical thinking is not "not seeing."

It's seeing… and not completing the movement.

Based on studies of EEG and event-related potentials (ERPs), we explore three fundamental moments of brain processing:

• MMN (Mismatch Negativity) — the automatic detection of the deviation, that internal micro-alarm that perceives that something "doesn't fit."

P300 — the updating of the mental model, when we give weight to the signal and reorganize the route.

• N400 / P600 — the integration of meaning and reanalysis, when something doesn't make sense and we need to reinterpret it.

When belonging is healthy, it gives us the groundwork to complete this cycle.

When it becomes hijacking, we learn to detect it… but not to act. We perceive it… but we don't move.

The video provides everyday examples:

– The continuous pace of the news and the absence of pauses that hinder metacognition.

– The acceleration of videos (1.5x / 2x) and the impact on cognitive load.

– Humor as a gentle training in cognitive flexibility — where making a mistake in the first interpretation doesn't generate an attack, but laughter and reorganization.

We also present three practical micro-rituals to recover the completeness of the movement:

1 - The 2-second pause
2 - The example that confirms and the one that contradicts
3 - Good-faith humor against rigidity

This is not a video against groups.

It's a video about how to belong without becoming a soldier. Recovering critical thinking is about recovering the brain's natural flow: detect → update → integrate.

Without dogma.
With solid grounding.

With us.
