72 Eternal Hours of a Life Wasted
72 Eternal Hours of a Life Wasted
We live eternally trapped in 72-hour cycles.
72 Eternal Hours of a Life Wasted
A single video, a polarizing opinion, a culturally ritualized food, or a phrase that activates our *“collective tensional self”*—and there it is: triggered, justified, rewarded, belonging.
These behaviors are fed by systems of mutual validation we call social media, traditions, blind faith, consumption, nationalism, digital or "real" tribalism. What do they all have in common?
They all connect to our Human Quorum Sensing (HQS) system.
But the cost of constant activation is a life wasted in reactivity.
Reactivity that becomes eternal—as long as it’s reinforced every 72 hours.
The Neural Cycle of Misguided Belonging
Research shows that intense emotional states can leave traces for up to 72 hours.
That’s enough time to:
* Solidify a behavior into a habit,
* Tie a thought to an identity,
* Turn an emotion into a permanent part of who we think we are.
Social media—and even AI—contribute to this process by grouping us into emotional predictability bubbles, where everything we see seems to confirm who we believe ourselves to be.
Our sense of reality becomes shaped by thoughts like:
“If I guessed right, then that must be me.”
“If everyone confirms what I think, then it must be true.”
“If I’m accepted for believing this, then I must keep believing it.”
“If what I feel matches what I was taught, then that’s how the world is.”
“If this belief gives me belonging, then it must be right.”
But as perception neuroscientist Anil Seth warns, our consciousness is a continuous act of guessing—based on probabilities.
And if this guessing is confirmed by algorithms, likes, or politically modulated speeches, we may be reinforcing a sweet lie that robs us of the freedom to feel and think for ourselves.
The Deactivation Ritual – 72 Hours of Cultural Silence
The way out? Break the cycle.
We propose a ritual of 72 hours of cultural silence. A complete fast from:
* Words that trigger us,
* Thoughts that inflame us,
* Foods that reconnect us to inherited—rather than chosen—cultures.
During this time, you are only allowed to observe the body and its relational truth.
The goal is to deactivate the automated tensional networks that hijack our freedom to simply exist.
It’s a reunion with the Damasian Mind, the Body as Territory, and the state of Fruição with Metacognition - with what is original in us:
the silent movement of life that needs no explanation—only sensation.
To Restart Is Not to Forget—It Is to Stop Repeating
Three days of ritual detachment may seem little.
But they can break cycles that lasted a lifetime.
It’s about recovering the right to consciously choose what lives inside us.
Because a wasted life is one that never dares to ask:
“This ‘self’ that acts through me now—was it my choice?
“Or was it just reactivated... less than 72 hours ago?”
Cultural Triggers and the Eternal Repetition of Inherited Beliefs
Amulets, popular sayings, religious or political slogans that always point to an enemy—whether it's the “infidel,” the “leftist,” the “globalist,” or the “demon”—act as symbolic triggers that keep our tensional selves inflamed.
They function as cognitive anchors that reactivate fear, guilt, and hate.
Instead of promoting wisdom or liberation, they condition us to live in a state of alert, attack, or submission.
Thus, our existence is reduced to an endless repetition of inherited beliefs that persist not because they were understood—but because they were never questioned.
And it’s in this cycle that life slips away in vain, without us ever asking:
“What if the real enemy is this way of living that prevents me from being?”
Before Words, There Was Wholeness
In early childhood, before words and cultural commandments, we inhabited the body as sacred territory.
We felt the world entirely—without naming it, without judging it, without trying to change it.
We were pure flow of the Damasian Mind, in fruição with life, with our skin, with what moved through us.
Proprioception was expanded—the Apus lived in us—and all that existed was the now.
But slowly, we were activated.
By rituals we didn’t choose.
By certainties handed down to us.
By narratives wrapped in rewards and punishments.
Each inherited “truth” disconnected us from interoception.
Each forced belonging pulled us away from the body-territory.
And so, the 100% Mind—the one that simply feels and knows—was silenced.
Today, with each new cultural or digital activation, we reinforce the gap between who we are and who we once were.
Innocence is not lost in a single act. It dissolves in 72 hours of confirmations, notifications, dogmas, and algorithms.
And what remains after this bombardment?
A reactive, predictable, dopaminergic self - who no longer remembers what it meant to simply be.
