What is Zone 2?

Zone 2 is when your body breathes freely, your heartbeat stabilizes, and you feel like you’re truly being yourself, without tension to please, obey, or perform.
It’s a real neurophysiological state, measurable through:

  • SpO₂ between 92% and 94%

  • Slower, deeper breathing

  • mTOR deactivation (no structural growth, but functional reorganization)

  • Emotions that organize feelings — not just explode.

Here, the Damasian Mind (based on interoception and proprioception) can emerge.
You start feeling who you are, without needing to remember or explain.


Enjoyment is not empty leisure — it’s meaningful presence

In Zone 2, you experience Enjoyment:

  • The pleasure of understanding something new

  • The relief of expressing yourself without fear

  • The lightness of a body that doesn’t need to prove anything

Enjoyment means you're not in attack mode, nor in defense or automatic repetition.
It’s the internal place where creativity lives.


Metacognition: thinking about how you think

Zone 2 gives your mind space for Metacognition — becoming aware of your thoughts and reshaping your Tensional Selves.
You’re not forced to change, but free to choose how to change.

You may begin to ask:

  • Is this thought really mine?

  • Am I being fair to myself?

  • Is there another way to feel what I’m feeling?


How to enter Zone 2?

  1. Reduce digital distractions – create space for silence and body awareness

  2. Move with presence – dance, walk, breathe

  3. Feel without judgment – emotions are bioelectrical, feelings are metabolic and slow

  4. Sleep well – in REM sleep, mTOR turns off and your brain re-signifies what you’ve lived

  5. Create without chasing applause – Zone 2 is about expression, not performance


What happens when more people live in Zone 2?

A society that values Zone 2:

  • Respects differences without needing to dominate

  • Develops public policies with empathy

  • Encourages critical authorship from early education

  • Builds living culture — not just viral content
